Richard Bolla, aka R. Bolla, was best known for his performance in the iconic Debbie Does Dallas (VCX). As Mr. Greenfield, owner of the sporting goods store where Debbie (Bambi Woods) worked while trying to raise money for a trip to try out for the Texas Cowgirls cheerleader squad, Bolla played a big part in more ways than one. Any fan of 1970s porn will remember Debbie's famous line: “Oh, Mr. Greenfield, I'm not that kind of girl. Oh, my Mr. Greenfield, you're so big.”
Bolla, who named himself after a type of wine, made his adult industry debut in 1974's Anyone But My Husband (VCA). His other movies include Debbie Does Dallas 2 and 3 (Caballero Home Video and VCA, respectively), A Scent of Heather (Video-X-Pix), and the Taboo American Style series from VCA. His last appearance was in 1985's Corporate Assets (Vidco Entertainment).
Outside of porn, Bolla also acted in mainstream film, off-Broadway theatrical productions, and TV (including “Hill Street Blues” and “Cagney & Lacey”).
In 1998 Kerman received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Free Speech Coalition.
